Drive technology for hydraulic pumping systems

To operate a hydraulic transfer system, a suitable hydraulic drive system is required. Based on our extensive experience and diverse customer requirements, we have developed various units that are compact, powerful, and versatile. We offer systems with electronically controlled variable displacement pumps as well as systems with constant pumps.

Advantages of our hydraulic drive systems

Depending on the application profile, we recommend the appropriate drive unit for you. Only with an optimally designed drive train will the drive side (vehicle gear drive/power take-off) be protected from overload while achieving the required power and function on the consumer side (e.g. pump drive). Energy efficiency is another important aspect, especially when there is high power demand. Our hydraulic units are versatile in application, and controlling a cryopump in conjunction with a transfer system is just one potential use case among many possible scenarios. Especially for high demands in terms of pressure and oil volume, we can provide suitable high-performance systems in a closed loop configuration.

We offer the right system for your requirements

The HPT System (Hydraulic Power Train) is a drive unit with an electronically controlled variable displacement pump. This unit achieves the highest performance. The variable displacement pump allows for highly energy-efficient operation and offers maximum flexibility, as the unit is suitable for both regulated and unregulated systems. The control can be flexibly adapted to customer requirements and various vehicle manufacturers. In addition to the standard unit for lateral mounting on the vehicle, custom units, such as those for mounting behind the driver's cab, are also possible.

The HYB-XT System (Hydraulic Booster XT) is also a constant pump system that achieves high and continuous delivery rates. The control of this system can be adjusted to both customer requirements and different vehicle manufacturers.

The HYB-LT System (Hydraulic Booster LT) is a compact unit with a constant pump. The unit offers a medium, continuous delivery rate and optional features such as filter and oil level monitoring.

Technology and equipment

  • Axial piston variable displacement pump enables variable and continuously adjustable flow rate from 0 to approximately 200 liters/minute
  • Can be used with controlled and uncontrolled systems
  • Energy-efficient, fuel-saving operation due to variable flow rate and load-sensing control
  • Operating pressure up to 380 bar, maximum pressure 420 bar
  • Low oil supply required (aluminum oil tank with a capacity of 20 liters) as the operation occurs in a closed loop
  • Oil supply level is electronically monitored (level sensor)
  • Return and leakage oil are filtered with a filter fineness of 10 µm each
  • Contamination indicator of return and leakage oil filter is electronically monitored
  • Hydraulic test ports are led externally (high pressure, supply pressure, control pressure)
  • Heat exchanger with approximately 19 kW cooling capacity and electrically operated fan enable full-load operation even at high ambient temperatures
  • Cold start function for optimized starting behavior at low temperatures
  • All mechanical console components are made of stainless steel or aluminum
  • All electrical fuses of the system are integrated into the control
  • The system is flexible and adaptable to customer requirements and vehicles from different manufacturers through configurable, CAN-enabled control
  • Vehicle-specific frame cover and drive shaft protection

Operation

  • Various control and display options for the driver's cabin and control panel are possible
  • Drive speed load-sensing control
  • Functions such as diesel start-stop from the control panel and engaging/disengaging of the auxiliary drive can be combined

Safety

  • Mechanical overload protection: Automatic volume reduction occurs when the maximum pressure is exceeded
  • Towing hoses to the trailer are extremely abrasion-resistant and additionally equipped with wear protection
  • During empty runs, hydraulic hoses are securely fastened in an empty coupling holder

Hydraulic drive HYB-XT unit – Hydraulic booster XT

Technology and equipment

  • Constant pump with a maximum flow rate of 190 liters/minute, operation in an open circuit
  • Operating pressure up to 380 bar
  • Soft start through valve to protect the system from sudden pressure surges when turning on
  • Return oil is filtered with a filter fineness of 10 µm
  • Aluminum oil tank with a capacity of 30 liters, equipped with an oil sight glass and level monitoring
  • Heat exchanger with approximately 19 kW cooling capacity and electrically operated fan
  • Cold start improvement by activating the fan only at a defined oil temperature
  • All mechanical console components are made of stainless steel or aluminum
  • All electrical fuses of the system are integrated into the control
  • The system is flexible and adaptable to customer requirements and vehicles from different manufacturers through configurable, CAN-enabled control
  • Vehicle-specific frame cover

  • Constant pump with a maximum flow rate of 120 liters/minute, operation in an open circuit
  • Operating pressure up to 350 bar
  • Return oil is filtered with a filter fineness of 10 µm
  • Aluminum oil tank with a capacity of 30 liters, equipped with an oil sight glass
  • Filter and oil level monitoring (optional) with various control concepts
  • Heat exchanger with approximately 11 kW cooling capacity and electrically operated fan
